Cody Barton

Regional Chef

Cody Barton is one of the regional chefs for Parry Restaurant Group, overseeing the company’s Lynchburg restaurants and supporting their culinary direction, operations, and continued growth. He brings more than 15 years of culinary and restaurant leadership experience to the role. Cody graduated from The Art Institute of Colorado in 2010 with an associate degree in culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in restaurant management, giving him a strong foundation in both the culinary and business sides of the restaurant industry.

Cody joined Parry Restaurant Group in 2015 and has continued to grow within the company through a variety of culinary leadership roles. His experience has included leading established restaurants, opening and developing new concepts, and working across a wide range of dining styles. In 2024, he stepped into the role of regional chef, expanding his focus from individual restaurant leadership to supporting multiple culinary teams throughout the Lynchburg market.

In his current role, Cody focuses on strengthening culinary programs through thoughtful menu development, operational consistency, cost management, and team development. He works closely with chefs and restaurant leaders to improve systems, sharpen execution, and support each concept’s individual identity. His approach to menu development is rooted in creating food that feels distinctive and memorable while still being practical for the kitchen, profitable for the restaurant, and approachable for the guest.

What Cody enjoys most about the restaurant business is the people behind it. He believes great restaurants are built by teams that feel supported, challenged, and proud of the work they do. Whether he is developing a new dish, helping a chef work through an operational challenge, opening a new concept, or jumping into service alongside the team, Cody values staying connected to the kitchen and the people who bring each restaurant to life.

Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with his fiancée, kids, and extended family. Food is still never far away; he enjoys cooking at home, trying new restaurants, and sharing meals and experiences with the people closest to him.
