Tim Clinton

Chef and General Manager

Tim began his professional culinary life during his third year at Virginia Commonwealth University. That was in 1987 and he’s been cooking ever since.  From hotels to restaurants to corporate catering, Tim’s career spans a diverse collection of experiences and locations. He was a chef for the Federal Reserve. He worked in New York City and catered for major corporations.

He met Stephan Parry through Tuffy Stone of Q Barbeque. Tim worked for Q and eventually managed three restaurants for Parry Restaurant Group. He’s currently working with Cotton, which opened in Danville in fall 2017, even though it’s a long commute from his home in Richmond. Tim said he’d work for Stephan Parry even with the commute because he agrees with his philosophy of fresh food and incredible customer service. He said, “It’s why we all work for him.”

Tim has been happily married for 25 years and has two adult children. He enjoys trail running in his free time.
